Considered to be the center of the
universe and the abode of Lord Shiva, Mt. Kailash, draws in hordes of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from
around the world. The Manasarovar lake which spreads over a vast area is spell binding. The sight of
Kailash and Manasarovar is refreshing and a deeply fulfilling experience for the mind and human spirit.
We start our journey from Kathmandu and drive up to Zhangmu, the border between Nepal
and Tibet where after the visa formalities we head on towards Nyalam. As we go up higher the land gets
more and more barren. Probably the last sight of the green hills and astounding waterfalls. We then drive
on towards the Holy Mount Kailash.
