The age old Tibetan
traditional of finding the reincarnation of the Dalai lamas was done here in this very lake. High lamas
meditate to see the vision in this lake, which guided them towards the birthplace of the new reincarnation
of the Dalai lama. Considered to be one of the most sacred lakes in Tibet, This Lake is believed to presage
or foretell ones future by the vision one sees from the lake. It is also believed that if the want is great and
the need is genuine then it is possible to see ones vision in this lake.
This trek goes
through virgin forested areas with wondrous landscape with unsurpassed beauty, nomadic camps &
people full of color. From Chokhorgyal we follow the north - east road to Lhamo Lhatso, we then drive to
Tsedang where we explore the historic sights of Samye Monastery, Chonggye before taking flight to
Kathmandu.
